Two more workshops for professional landscapers have been scheduled in Southern California to help them efficiently manage water during the ongoing drought. Landscape watering is a prime conservation opportunity, since improperly managed outdoor watering can be exceptionally wasteful. The Arcadia workshop will be offered in English from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29 at the Los Angeles Arboretum and Botanic Garden, 301 N. Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia. The Irvine workshop is scheduled for Thursday, July 31 in the Irvine Civil Center Council Chamber, 1 Civic Center Plaza in Irvine. Registration has been closed for the morning English session due to high demand. The session in Spanish will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m.
